97 days left!!!

I'm finally out of the triple digit countdown and into the double digits. YAY!! In fact, it's 97 days until the due date :)

This past week has been one full day after another, but we managed to get a lot accomplished and we managed to get some time together. That was probably the best part!!! Jared and I got 4 whole days together and still it didn't seem like enough. I think in order for us to feel like we spent enough time together, we would need a couple of months off ha! But overall, it was nice and I feel a little more like I can breathe.

Friday we did some relaxing and watched some movies. It was nice to have a day where nothing was required. The only thing productive we did was buy more veggies for our garden. We officially have tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, sweet potatoes, bell peppers, and jalapenos. I can't wait to start picking fresh veggies. We actually decided to expand our garden and plant even more stuff!!! Not sure what all it will be yet, we are thinking garlic, onions, corn, purple hull peas, and the list just keeps going.

Saturday we spent all day registering but at least that's out of the way now. We are registered at Babies R Us, Buy Buy Baby, and Target. By the time we made it to Target, we were both over the whole registering thing so the selection was not as wide lol!  Babies R Us really ruined it for us. We spent a total of 55 minutes registering just to be told that NONE of it actually took and we had to re-register. Needless to say, we were both pretty fed up after that. Jared didn't even want to use the little gun thing anymore, that's how I knew he was fed up ha!

Sunday I got the nursery painted. Well, actually Jared painted the majority of the nursery himself, I just had an accent wall I wanted to finish up and thanks to his aunt we were able to pull it off.

However, our air went out so I was sweating and disgusting by the time I was finished.

Monday I got my car back, Jared and I went to lunch, hit up Lowe's for more paint, and headed home.

Overall we got so much accomplished and now this week (and mainly today since Jared's off) we have an A/C man coming to fix or replace the air conditioner, we have a plumber coming out to redo the rest of the plumbing under the house so my new dishwasher can be installed (FINALLY), we have lowe's coming to get the exact measurements so they can install the new carpet, and then it's time to replace the baseboards and set up the furniture in the nursery :)  if anyone knows how to install cabinets or crown molding (or knows someone who does, that won't rip us off) please let us know!

Week 25

Well, this day ends my work week and begins my 4 day weekend with my hubby!  I am pretty excited about that. I feel like it's been weeks since Jared and I got more than 15 minutes with each other. Our schedules lately have not really matched up. Plus this week hasn't been the best week. I did wreck my car so now we are just waiting to see what the estimate is and how long it will take before they fix it. I'm hoping it won't take long! When discussing what to do on our 4 day weekend together the possibility of a beach trip came up, but then we decided we needed to be responsible and actually stay home and get some stuff done. So here we are...busy, busy, busy :)

Week 24 and baby name announcement

So we are almost to the 3rd trimester!  YAY! I had my glucose test yesterday and I was surprised to find out it wasn't as bad as I had originally prepared myself for. I was thinking it would be a super sweet drink that would actually make me sick to my stomach, but honestly it tasted watered down. So I was pleased and now we just hope and pray I don't get a call back saying I failed ha! Blythe is growing fine...she is healthy and active. Heartbeat was great and my weight was on track :) That's always a good thing to hear! I've been having a pain around my ribs which almost feels like a bruise...asked my doctor and she confirmed what I thought...Blythe has pushed all my organs out of the way to make room for herself and something is officially shoved into my ribs. It's not painful really, just constant and annoying, if that makes sense. As you can tell...the name has been decided on and we are pretty excited about it! We wanted something unique and different. We also know there will be people who are not fans of the name, but oh well! The full name will be Blythe Abigail Martin.

How far along? 24 Weeks and 1 day

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect.com, an eggplant - 9 inches and 1.7 pounds

Sleep: Lately, it's been okay. She's been super active so that keeps me from falling right to sleep and then I typically wake up at least once a night for either a bathroom break or a bad dream

Movement: She's still going crazy in there...at times I see my stomach move

Food cravings: can't think of just one thing I have to have

Best Moment This Week: Buying the carpet and picking out the name

Miss Anything? putting on a swimsuit without feeling like a cow

What I am looking forward to: picking up the carpet since it arrived yesterday and getting this week over with :)

Week 22 and feeling optimistic

This past week hasn't been too eventful. We finally got the nursery cleaned out, with the exception of a few odds and ends things we need to find a home for. I got rid of a bunch of clothes I've been stowing away that I honestly haven't worn in years and we are going tonight to buy the paint for the nursery :)  My wonderful hubby is going to paint the nursery while I'm at work tomorrow. I'm pretty pumped about that, but a little nervous too (Jared, if you're reading this it's not because I don't trust you to paint it BUT because I'm not doing it lol!)

How far along? 22 Weeks and 1 day

Size of Baby: According to What to Expect.com, a papaya - 8 inches long and 1.2 pounds

Total Weight Gain/Loss: 5 pounds since pre-pregnancy (I go back to the doc May 15th and we will get an update on the weight then...I feel like I've put on 20 pounds)

Maternity clothes? Pretty much wearing them all the time for work and then on the weekends I tend to live in shorts and a tshirt so those aren't really maternity clothes

Stretch marks? None yet, fingers crossed!!!

Gender: girl

Belly Button In/Out: In

Wedding rings on or off? On

Sleep: Not too great these past couple of days

Movement: Happening more frequently. Especially after being active, before eating, or while driving

Food cravings: Honestly, I haven't really craved anything this week. I keep buying sweets but I never actually eat them...weird!

Best Moment This Week: Cleaning out the nursery with Jared. We had a blast, we laughed the whole time and it was just an extremely fun project

Miss Anything? Putting on a bikini and not feeling like a beached whale. I tried on a tankini Monday and it was still upsetting...but it's my swimsuit of choice while pregnant I guess

What I am looking forward to: Seeing what the nursery will look like once painted (so basically going tonight and looking at paint and carpet)
